Master's Thesis on Taxation Policy

For my Master's Thesis I worked with the Statistics Norway to research the effects of changes to the Norwegian Wealth tax on investment in personal businesses. The initial plan for the project was to use the 2006 update to the wealth tax rates as a natural experiment, however further research on the issue showed that this tax change was just one of a number of "pro-business" legislative reforms which made isolating the effect of the tax change impossible. Instead we fit two financial models of investment in a capital constrained environment to a data set including all Norwegian tax payers to determine if changes to the tax rate caused constraints to individuals investment capital.
